Palmer Linings provides technical support to licensees for:

• Refractory material and installation QA/QC
• Shutdown planning and work scopes

When refractory materials are being supplied it is important that proper selection is made, that quality control parameters are in place and a consistent product is being supplied (no variability from bag to bag).

When installing refractory it is important that equipment being used is in good condition, that personnel are well trained, that short-cuts are not taken and that procedures/drawings are followed.

When undertaking a refractory repair or installing new refractory the benefits of ensuring independent quality control can save millions of dollars in lost production.

Material quality specifications are required to:
ensure the product is consistent and durable and material characteristics fall within the specified limits.

Installed quality specifications are required to:
ensure the correct and consistent application of the material is met with little to no variability.

Close supervision and monitoring combined with consistent quality materials and testing can significantly improve the performance of refractory linings.
